LEONINA APARTMENT (Coliseum)

  • The apartment is very nice for a couple, and the location is really convenient. It’s only a short walk to the Historic center, and very close to the subway when you need to go further (airport, or Vatican for example). We went to Rome in January, but when you visit during the summer the sunny terrace may be very enjoyable, and is certainly the highlight of the flat! Michele is great and very helpful, the chek-in and chek-out and everyday life during the trip are made very easy thanks to him. The only shortcoming of the flat would be the bed: a not so comfortable convertible bed.

  • Great great location. Super walkable to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Campo de Fiori, and super close to the metro which takes you near the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, airport etc. Balcony is beautiful and sunsets on the balcony are delightful. Restaurant nearby – Er Baretto – is great. Michele is very responsive and helpful and provides maps of the city, travel books, etc. The bed and shower however could use some work. The sofa bed is a bit too soft for comfort and the shower doesn’t have the best water pressure.

  • It was our first time in rome and we love the town. We are sure we will come back. MicheleĀ“s flat is in a great area. Lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs. You can reach the Colloseum and other historical places in some minutes. We enjoyd our stay a lot. Thank you Michele, for your hospitality.

  • Michele is a gracious and friendly host. He helped to make our stay the best we’ve had. The flat is in the heart of Rome, a stone’s throw from the Colosseum and the Roma Termini train station. Great, clean flat and a perfect place to stay the next time you’re in Roma!

  • What a charming apartment in a fantastic location! First the apartment – its on the 4th floor, don’t worry there’s an elevator! The balcony was huge with a table and 4 chairs for you to enjoy a nice glass of wine. The design in the apartment is excellent and very interesting. The only negative about this for us was the bed, which was a pullout sofa and the mattress did not provide as much support as we would have liked (it would be great for 1 person, a little less comfortable for 2). We solved this problem by laying the comforter provided in the apartment under the sheets as a pillow top. The water pressure was low at time and normal other times. The Neighborhood – loved this neighborhood – awesome bars literally steps away and a great little restaurant that was one of our best meals in Italy across the street. The train station is about 1 minute walk away and provided ultimate convenience for our 5 nights in Rome. The Colosseum was about 10 minutes away and we easily walked to all the major attractions. Highly Recommended!

  • I loved my stay in the studio, especially the terrace. Although there are other terraces across the street, they are rarely occupied, so I felt like I had a huge, completely private space looking over the rooftops in the heart of historical Rome. The apartment is small, but very comfortable with everything you need. The location is amazing, an easy walk to the Forum/Palatine/Capitoline and Colosseum and just a block from the Cavour Metro stop for quick access to other parts of the city. There is a good supermarket about 2 blocks away. The wifi worked perfectly. I was also grateful that there was a lift, which I gather is very unusual in this type of building. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  • The apartment is absolutely gorgeous – the terrace is amazing! We ate all of our meals outside and would return in a heartbeat! The apartment has a large fridge and freezer, plenty of hot water, tons of closet space, great internet connection and a small elevator to take you up the 4 flights to the apartment. The water pressure was low, but totally fine… The only negatives for us (and they didn’t really bother us anyway) were—- no full length mirror, only 2 really small bath towels and 2 small hand towels, no proper sharp cutting knife in the kitchen, and we never found a cheese grater. But Michele was a wonderful host – extremely helpful and prompt! We adore this home and are recommending it to all of our friends! It is in a GREAT location!!! The neighborhood is gorgeous and charming – not much street traffic, which is great. Plus, it’s in walking distance to all of the ancient sites and still very close to the main train station. We always rent apartments in Italy and this is definitely one that we will return to in the future!

  • This apartment has everything you need. Air cond, so that you can survive the summer heat; Wifi so you can annoy your friends with pictures of your holiday whilst they’re working; and a washing machine so that you smell decent for the locals. BUT the real feature of this apartment is the beautiful terrace where you can soak up the rays and pretend that you really do live in Italy. The bed does dip a little in the middle, but it just means that you get to know the person you’re travelling with a little better and you do have to time your showers so that you’re not competing with other residents for water pressure, but the apartment is clean and everything works, so there’s nothing really to complain about. Down the street is the metro to most of the attractions, or you could simply walk once you get your bearings. You’re just around the corner from the Colosseum and down the street from the Roman Forum which is near the Altare Della Patria and so on. It’s like connect the dots tourism – there’s so much to see so close to each other that we frequently walked back and forth to the Trevi Fountain from the apartment. We never actually met Michele face to face, but he was always very helpful via email and Mrs Gida who showed us in told us everything that we needed to know on the first day anyway! Great apartment experience!

  • The flat has a perfect position to discover much main sights in the area. It s so close to connecting roads where you easily find the way to other important sights, inner part of the city and shoping stores. And you don’t have to cook , cause in the neighborhood are much possibilities to eat. So, a big plus for location. The flat is sweet and small but the terrace is a nice place to hang out after a hard tourist day, beside it’s starts to rain. Maybe some kitchenware could miss by somebody, but the important stuff is there and Michele is every time friendly and has a open ear when something is wrong or you have problems.

  • Had a great stay in Rome. Michele was very helpful and friendly as well as arranging Gidamto be there on our arrival.. We had a small problem with the tv, and Michele came straight away to fix Brilliant location, and an amazing terrace for apperitivo. Bonus is that there is a lift in the building. We would stay back there any day.

  • This top floor studio was the second of Michele’s apartments we rented on this trip after returning from Umbria. This studio was perfect for our last 3 days in Rome, clean and modern with very adequate kitchen dishes and utensils, modern bathroom andshower, very comfortable bed,and a sensational outdoor patio with great views where we ate breakfast and relaxed after a day of sightseeing, using wi-fi to FaceTime and (website hidden) with friends and family. The location is superb for exploring Ancient Rome and Centro Storico. The Colosseum is a couple of blocks away with easy access to the Forums, The Palatine, Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi, Piazza Di Spagna and the Spanish Steps. Via Leonina and adjoining streets are full of life, and great restaurants and shops. Easy access to supermarket shopping for essentials. Michele, again was a sensational host, meeting us at the metro and even hauling our suitcases for us to the apt. He was attentive and courteous as usual, even arranging a car to take us to the airport, and we enjoyed meeting him at his shop near Trevi Fountain. We certainly will stay here again when in Rome, as the site is central and we always felt secure that Michele was there if we need any help. In our traveling experience we find this level of service highly unusual. Vivian and Sam

  • The apartment is great. Lots of pluses: beautiful terrace with the view on the street and Roma roofs, lovely area, great ceiling with wooden parts and Wi-Fi Internet. I also liked the design. Michele was very helpful and patient as we accidentally almost broke his door lock but eventually succeeded to fix it)) He gave us fool instructions and good advices about the city
